a man had a conversation with the absolute and the only voice he heard was mine

window to the absolute

glory bee
déjà vu
theresas little way
made in heaven
the dream is alive
save the dolphin save the whale
peace be with you
dancing on broadway

glory bee

For all those that want to believe

A promise made to you as you lay dying
How come we came so far in one night

Cut down in your prime
Gone too soon before your time
Quantum leap and paradigm
There’s something wrong in paradise

But we grew strong
And we learnt how to get along
We held you dear
We kept you near
And sang redemption songs

And in our desolation
Trial and tribulation
And in the hope we’d meet again
We found our consolation
Glory Bee

Roses are red violets are blue
Make something beautiful in memory of you

We worked the fields shared the yields
The beasts of burden turned the wheels
And in our grief and despair
We offered up to you this prayer

Roses are red violets are blue
The universe conspires to make it true

déjà vu

Freedom of expression
Freedom from want and from fear
Freedom to believe in what you hold dear

Somebody wants
So much for which to live
Somebody wants
Wants the things you give

Do I still love you
Yes I do
Déjà vu

The empty place within my soul
Was instantly no more

Do I still love you
Yes I do
Déjà vu

Freedom to believe in what you hold dear
Nothing is true till I live it with you
Rising every time we fall
Time out of mind
We sail across and lo
Our boat has reached the shore

Never know the sunshine
If you always draw the blinds

Richer than a crown
When you are all around
Freedom to believe in what you hold dear

theresas little way

Bound by unseen thread
Unwithered by time
Explore the mystery of love
Between your heart and mine

Music when soft voices die
Vibrates on in the memory

No-one so weak they are worthless
Theresa’s little way
No-one so small they are helpless
Theresa’s little way
That’s what the children sing

Peace can you dig it right on
Peace if you want it right on
Good words of wise people

Take my hand no need to be afraid
To you I may seem a stranger
But you will know my face
And to Emmaus celestial farewell
You have always been here and you always will

Friend of all mankind
Speak in parables to the blind

made in heaven

In the playground of your memories

You were made in heaven
High on the world
Scatter a shower of roses on earth

Made in heaven
You were made in heaven

Around the corners of the world you turn
All of life to live and learn
Find your space take your place
And play your role
Know that trouble doesn’t last
Sorrow always come to pass
Treasure your dreams
And hold them fast

You were made in Heaven
High on the world
Scatter a shower of roses on earth

I’m losing you but glad to know
You found your love as I did long ago
No tear of mine shall mar your joy
Hold you in my arms one more time
Let me whisper my goodbye
Farewell to the child

Made in Heaven
You were made in Heaven
Scatter a shower of roses on earth

Swing Low
Born Again

A chance for everyone to start again

When you were born
Didn’t have no choice
Sanctifi ed still you cried
And the world rejoiced
Be the dawn of your own day
Live your life in such a way
That when you die
The world will cry
While you rejoice

Often goes the saviour
In the stranger’s disguise

Angela Angelus
Know that when we truly love it is never lost

A new beginning
A reason for living
The season for giving
Peace on earth

Following the star to find you my baby
Singing it to the people
Every child is born to save the world

the dream is alive

Across the Rubicon
Someone remembers somebody cares
Your name was mentioned
In somebody’s prayers

A blind man looking for a black hat
In a darkened place that was never there

Far away is close at hand in images of elsewhere

The dream is alive
All will come right all will be well
Following you to the holy city

Let your thoughts take wings

Unseen presence has me mesmerised
The bliss of solitude fl ash upon the inward eye
Keep the bright light of the future in view
Somebody somewhere is thinking of you

Never stop loving you
Light show me the way
Darkness show me the stars

save the dolphin save the whale

You’ve got the vote
You got the vote

Save the dolphin
Save the whale

No point sitting on the fence
Make a difference
A privileged life is useless
This world needs your help
Keep your fears to yourself
Share your courage with others

In God we trust
Through the boom and the bust
People say law but they mean wealth
Self-interest chosen few
Take another view
The fate of this world is dependent on you

Lesson for the class get up off your ass
How much to buy your silence

What’s going on
In a world filled with pain nothing has changed
How much to buy your silence

Silent tear climate of fear
What can you give or volunteer
You’ve got a right to be heard
A Human Right
Why do you think you are here

Aim to please
Seek out love
Plan ahead
Inspire change
Rise above through your

Give of yourself give from within
Try to see things with a positive spin
Pick yourself up dust yourself down
Learn how to swim if you don’t want to drown
Set your sights high reach for the sky
Climb a skyscraper if you’re scared of heights
Never give up when adversity strikes
If you don’t want to get bitten let sleeping dogs lie

Know all there is
education is king
And it aint over till the fat lady sings

Making hay in the sun
Save yourself by saving someone
Against the odds and rule of thumb
The underdog shall overcome
Once you get there you won’t want to stop
Better a has been than a never was
Sweat will pour and tears will spill
Actions speak louder than words ever will

Aspire to climb as high as you can dream

Agent of change in your personal space
Don’t let your talents all go to waste
The gift is precious share your wealth
Let the silence talk to itself

Suffer, endure, strive for a cure
Can’t live without love anymore
Your gift is precious share your wealth
Let the silence talk to itself

peace be with you

Let us recall our dearest dream
And make that dream come true

Man girl woman and boy
Blessed are the peacemakers

Peace be with you

Must be good for something
Appreciate who you are
And be gentle with yourself

Ask yourself can you really be free
If you celebrate your freedom
We who have mourned
Have rode out the storms
And seen love as immortal

Slaves to a past that we cannot change
Yet the future is in your power
Let’s make this place a better place
for all our sakes
Now and at the hour

I do not ask for your conscience
I appeal to your greatness
To one and all a wakeup call
Take a course on miracles

Out of eternity the new day is born
Blindly down the path we are led
Into eternity the night will return
To places Where angels fear to tread

Into each life some rain must fall

Then your children shall surely dance

Do unto others as you would have done
What kind of stranger have you become
Love your brother do all that you can
Sometime the mountain must come to the man
If you expect to pass through this life but once
And if you can show kindness to your fellow man
Then do it now let love save the day
For you shall not return this way

Go forward
Be as brave as your fathers before you
And keep yearning
And you may get your second chance

dancing on broadway

At sunset gates
Torch in hand
A mighty woman stands

Give me your huddled masses
That yearn to be free
Out in the harbour at the edge of the world
She waits for me
The sweetest lips I ever kissed
Were yours sweet liberty

The truth that lights my way
Broken lie the chains
Where I found love

Satchmo in town love all around
Good news resounds lonely as a cloud

Sunny side of the street
People vote with their feet
Dancing on Broadway

They’re treading the boards
Then take to the floors
Dancing on Broadway

And the chorus line reels
They’re cooling their heels
We are Dancing on Broadway

Saints go marching in
And the multitudes sing
We were Dancing on Broadway

Mother of exiles all that I can share
Is a pocket full of dreams
Nobody knows the troubles that I’ve seen
I was too busy chasing off
Everybody that ever loved me

The truth that lights my way
A ticker tape parade
Where I found love

Satchmo in town love all around
Good news resounds lonely as a cloud

The bars and the beats
Jump from the manuscript sheets
Dancing on Broadway

The lyric and chords
Strike up an accord
Dancing on Broadway

And the restless they scheme
With impossible dreams
We are Dancing on Broadway

In the shimmering light
To the rhythms of life
We were Dancing on Broadway

window to the absolute

Because the Ultimate Reality which is denoted by the word ‘Absolute’ or ‘Parabrahman’ is the very core of our being as well as the cause and basis of the universe of which we are part, we can no more get away from it than our solar system can get away from the sun round which it resolves and from which it receives everything which keeps it alive and moving. Although the Absolute is sometimes referred to by such epithets as the Void, Ever-Darkness etc. and is beyond intellectual comprehension, still, from the intellectual point of view it is the most profound concept in the whole realm of philosophy. The fact that it is called ‘Unknowable’ does not mean that it is beyond the range of philosophical or religious thought and something on which thinking is impossible or undesirable. The very fact that it is the heart and the basis of the universe should make it the most intriguing object of enquiry within the realms of the intellect.
— I.K. Taimni, ‘Man, God and the Universe’, Chapter 1

Words are but symbols for the relations of things to one another and to us; nowhere do they touch upon absolute truth. … Thus it is, today, after Kant, an audacious ignorance if here and there, especially among badly informed theologians who like to play philosopher, the task of philosophy is represented as being quite certainly “comprehending the Absolute with the consciousness,” somewhat completely in the form “the Absolute is already present, how could it be sought somewhere else?” as Hegel has expressed it.
— Philosophy in the Tragic Age of the Greeks, § 11.

People have always spoken of the absolutely necessary being, and have taken pains, not so much to understand whether and how a thing of this kind can even be thought, but rather to prove its existence…. if by means of the wordunconditioned I dismiss all the conditions that the understanding always requires in order to regard something as necessary, this does not come close to enabling me to understand whether I then still think something through a concept of an unconditionally necessary being, or perhaps think nothing at all through it.
— Critique of Pure Reason, A593

MUSIC, when soft voices die,
Vibrates in the memory;
Odours, when sweet violets sicken,
Live within the sense they quicken.

Rose leaves, when the rose is dead, 5
Are heap’d for the belovèd’s bed;
And so thy thoughts, when thou art gone,
Love itself shall slumber on.
– Percy Bysshe Shelley. 1792–1822
HERE lies John Trot, the friend of all mankind:
He has not left one enemy behind.
Friends were quite hard to find, old authors say;
But now they stand in everybody’s way.
William Blake

Quantum Theory

Kierkegaard also upheld the idea that each person exists in one of three spheres (or planes) of existence: the aesthetic, the ethical, and the religious. Most people, he observed, live an aesthetic life in which nothing matters but appearances, pleasures, and happiness. It is in accordance with the desires of this sphere that people follow social conventions. Kierkegaard also considered the violation of social conventions for personal reasons (e.g., in the pursuit of fame, reputation for rebelliousness) to be a personal aesthetic choice. A much smaller group are those people who live in the ethical sphere, who do their best to do the right thing and see past the shallow pleasantries and ideas of society. The third and highest sphere is the faith sphere. To be in the faith sphere, Kierkegaard says, one must give the entirety of oneself to God.

I WANDER’D lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretch’d in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed — and gazed — but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
